Good 'Ol Cherry Cobbler

I'm still trying to get into the hang of things with this whole "I'm a mom now" so with all the delicious fresh fruit people brought us I decided to make a cobbler with the bag of cherries I had.

Tom of course told me to make a homemade cobbler with the leftover fruit, so he takes all the credit! So I searched for an easy recipe, lets be honest-I don't have much extra time on my hands, and lo and behold I found a good one - here it is.

So I baked it up and Tom said it was the most delicious cherry cobbler he's had, thank heavens. So this recipe is Tom approved!

Heston's First Blog Post!

Did I mention that I finally gave birth? August 5th around 1:30pm little Heston Weaver Creighton came into this world. He weighed in at 10 pounds 5 ounces and 22 inches long, little booger, no wonder he baked so long!

So after everyone came to visit him in the hospital, we've had visitors come to see him at the house, and one of them was Uncle Zak!

Uncle Zak (my 7 foot tall brother) didn't have the chance to visit Heston in the hospital so he came down this week to see the little man. Uncle Zak is a natural! And Heston loved loved loved him!

And today, since I'm getting used to this whole baby schedule thing, was an opportunity to take a pic of the little man sleeping and I realized he is 2 weeks old today, wow how time flies!

A Man's Best Friends

I asked Tom to take some more pictures of me preggie, and while we were outside, the dogs got totally jealous and wanted their picture taken too, so of course I traded the camera with Tom and started snapping!

Ginger (on the left) always gets camera shy, but good 'ol Sampson is always ready for his close up! I think Sampson likes it here!
